Is to cultivate the growth & dynamics of outstanding teams within businesses & organisations through interactive group facilitation: & explore ways these teams can collaborate with the community to ensure robust, positive relationships for the future and the environment.
Working with diverse groups requires dynamism. Each individual's uniqueness means that varied approaches, methodologies, and non-corporate settings can foster distinct outcomes, perspectives, and solutions for the group. Discover Dynamix aims to enable groups & teams to operate beyond the confines of the meeting room while simultaneously benefiting local communities.
Ani Sutton is the driving force behind Discover Dynamix. Amidst a busy schedule of working for a major charity, volunteering, and embarking on adventures, Ani, along with a dedicated team of inventive and seasoned facilitators, is fervent about employing group work strategies to achieve outstanding outcomes in collaborative work and Serious Play.
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) is a facilitated thinking, communication & problem-solving technique for the use of organisations. The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology is an innovative process designed to enhance innovation and business performance.

The package that Discover Dynamix offers for LEGO Serious Play involves:
LSP can be applied repeatedly to any 'challenge' or situation that demands a non-predetermined solution, acting as an engaging method for proactive, solution-oriented action.
It is a facilitated process that ensures all team or group members can participate equally and inclusively.
Every participant has a voice.
There are no right or wrong answers.
It provides a safe environment for risk-taking—models can simply be disassembled and reassembled differently.
Participants are encouraged to be inquisitive, thereby learning more about the situation and each other, knowledge that can be transferred to the workplace.
As children, play was our pathway to learning; it fostered our curiosity and exploration, expanded our understanding, and taught us problem-solving.
Serious Play taps into this innate ability, offering a potent method for organisations to incorporate into their strategic thinking, address a specific theme, or simply to foster creativity for situations still seeking a solution.
Our team is dedicated to collaborative methods whenever feasible. Building sustainable relationships between businesses and communities is a great way to involve both your teams and the community.
We encourage our corporate partners to collaborate with us within their local communities, utilize local venues, employ local caterers, and, if possible, participate in community projects during any workshop we facilitate.
Corporates have numerous ways to engage with communities in conjunction with any delivery model facilitated by Discover Dynamix.
This approach can also bolster frameworks such as ESG plans and strategies, as well as B-Corp impact assessments, by providing tangible evidence of your social and environmental impact.
At Discover Dynamix, not only do we facilitate groups 'inside' but we love to get outside into the natural environment with groups.
As a qualified Lowland Walk Leader with the Mountain Training Association, Ani leads programmes of walks with community groups.
Lowland walks can be singular events, part of a series, or integrated into a wellness program. At Discover Dynamix, we are dedicated to ensuring that Lowland walks are accessible to all participants, providing a wonderful opportunity to discover local areas through the network of footpaths that many people might otherwise overlook.
Lowland walking and Bushcraft can be integrated into LSP workshops or general group work facilitation where and when feasible.
The phrase 'thinking outside the box' is well-known, but when groups of people are empowered through creative and interactive interventions, it unleashes an explosion of opportunities... we all need little explosions to ignite interest, curiosity & inquiry.
We use various group work activities to engage your team & we aim for numerous explosions!
These are only limited by our imagination: re-engaging a team after a restructure, developing a wellbeing programme, encouraging senior managers to 'have a voice', merging two teams for upscaling, improving workforce engagement scores, recognising the skillset within your team, finding a solution to a puzzling question... the list goes on.
Facilitated group work can accomplish all these outcomes & more whilst ensuring all participants are all part of the process.
Not only do we have an abundance of energy to pull these workshops off, but our facilitators have experience in working with numerous and diverse groups.
This has enabled us to build a reputation for the facilitation of informal learning; whether this be covered in sticky notes, talking round an open-fire or being elbow-deep in colourful bricks.
While our team is primarily located in the scenic regions of North Wales and the border counties of Cheshire and Shropshire, we are equipped to operate across the UK. We have also explored ways to minimize our environmental footprint, leading us to offer The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® as an online option & this continues to foster huge amounts of creativity.
This will really depend on what the planned outcome is, what we include in the group interventions & who is involved. Our main focus is ensuring really good outcomes. For LEGO Serious Play a group between 8-10 participants is ideal. However, we are adaptable and can discuss different sizes when you contact us.
For Lowland walking & bushcraft, we can run with various sizes, so once again, please contact us to discuss what you need.
Ideally, we like to work with you away from your normal workplace - this is not always possible which is understandable. However, if it is manageable, our ideal would be working at a venue within the local community that your business or organisation is situated in... & if we can develop the workshop to include a community project on the same day, that is always an extra benefit for everyone.
We like to do what makes us happy, and what we know we deliver exceptionally well to our customer and client groups. Having the flexibility of delivering LEGO Serious Play to determine real strategic direction to a group of execs, and then taking a group low level walking exploring unknown footpaths and getting covered in mud, just seems like the perfect combination to us :)
We may be small, but we feel mighty! So we believe that even minor changes can have a big effect, and here's how we're contributing so far:
Discover Dynamix is based in North Wales, and borders both Shropshire & Cheshire, & this is where you will find Ani. As well as working for a large national charity, Ani is also the Founder & Lead facilitator for Discover Dynamix.
Ani brings a wealth of experience & energy to Discover Dynamix. With over 30 years of experience in group facilitation, she takes pride in making group work interactive and reflective of the participants' needs. In fact, the whole team are constantly driven by engagement methods that ensure our workshops and programmes remain dynamic and stimulating for everyone involved. Between us we have the resources, the experience, the skillset, & most of all the energy to deliver workshops, events and sessions that are creative, thought provoking and just a little bit different to the formal working environment, & we have experienced the benefits of being purposefully playful.
'Spare time' isn't really something Ani recognises as volunteering has always been a part of her life & this is a cornerstone to the philosophy of Discover Dynamix: working for the benefit of, & with communities. Ani's volunteering story is particularly varied & in the past, has included involvement in uniformed organisations, 9 years as a Special Constable, and with BBC Cymru Children in Need as a committee member. Today, Ani is the chairperson for a group of amazing young people who manage a grant aiming to improve the lives of other young people; and, she's involved with Mental Health Motorbike - a growing national charity aiming to reduce suicide amongst bikers & encouraging more talking about mental health amongst bikers.
When not working or volunteering, Ani loves adventure: often arriving at work via 'Kiki' her motorbike. She loves water and is often found underneath as a qualified scuba diver, & above it as a keen paddler. On dry land, she loves to get her hiking boots on and have a good stomp about .. .& other times she can be found stomping & wobbling about on a dance floor trying her hand (& feet) at Cuban salsa...(not cross body... just in case you were wondering!)
